I am an award-winning Montana-based writer and editor with a background in thru-hiking and a love for public lands and cats. My work focuses on the intersection of the outdoors, culture, and mental health.
My essays, advice columns, travel writing, and reporting have appeared in the New York Times, Longreads, Lonely Planet, Outside, Backpacker, Women’s Health, Huffington Post, the Strategist, and more. I am the co-founder of BackpackingRoutes.com and I have been featured on NPR, NHPR, and in the London Times.
