After graduating with a writing degree from the University of New Hampshire, I worked as a horseback guide in Yellowstone and Death Valley. I thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2015, which led to my job as Managing Editor for The Trek, where I curate content and write about long-distance backpacking.
I am a versatile writer with a focus on conversational, informative pieces on outdoor recreation and our wild places.
When I'm not in front of a computer, I'm probably climbing, backpacking, trail running, mountain biking, kayaking, bow hunting, or lurking around national parks.
I try not to take myself too seriously.
