I am a Montana-based writer and editor with a background in thru-hiking and a deep love for public lands. My work focuses on the intersection of the outdoors, culture, and mental health.

I am a frequent contributor to dozens of outdoor / travel publications, and an editor at Adventure Cycling and Switchback Travel. My essays, advice columns, travel writing, and reporting have been featured in Longreads, Lonely Planet, Outside, Backpacker, Tripadvisor, Women’s Health, Huffington Post, the Strategist, and more.
